صرح وزير الدفاع الأوكراني، أليكسي ريزنيكوف، بأن كييف لا ترى جدوى من الوساطة في المفاوضات مع موسكو إذا ظلت أهداف العملية العسكرية الروسية الخاصة كما هي.
جاء ذلك في حديث لريزنيكوف على قناة “يوتيوب” للصحيفة الأوكرانية “نوفويه فريميا” على الهواء مباشرة، حيث تابع: “إننا نرى بالفعل طابورا من الراغبين في الوساطة بيننا. في واقع الأمر، تم إخبار الجميع أنه إذا كان الحديث يدورعن الوساطة أو تسهيل المفاوضات، فإن أبسط قواعد الوساطة أو تسهيل المفاوضات هي أولا: التعرف على مصالح الطرفين”.

ووفقا لريزنيكوف، فإن أوكرانيا “مهتمة بالعيش في بلد مسالم وعلاقات حسن جوار مع الجيران”. وأشار إلى أن روسيا أعلنت عن أهدافها من العملية العسكرية الخاصة ألا وهي: نزع السلاح، واجتثاث النازية، وعدم انضمام أوكرانيا إلى (الناتو). وأقول: إن على الوسطاء التعرف أولا على مصالح الروس، وما إذا كانت قد تغيرت. فإذا كانت تغيرت، فسوف تكون منطقة الاتفاق المحتمل Zone Of Possible Agreement ZOPA واضحة، عدا ذلك، يتعين الوقوف في الطابور، ونحن سنقوم بما نستطيعه”.
وكانت موسكو قد أشارت مرارا وتكرارا إلى أنها مستعدة للمفاوضات إلا أن كييف فرضت على المفاوضات حظرا على المستوى التشريعي، حيث قال الرئيس الأوكراني، فلاديمير زيلينسكي، في وقت سابق، أمام مجموعة العشرين، إنه “لن يكون هناك مينسك 3”. وقد صرح المتحدث الرسمي باسم الكرملين، دميتري بيسكوف، بأن مثل هذه الكلمات “تؤكد تماما” موقف كييف بشأن عدم الرغبة في التفاوض.
ويدعو الغرب روسيا باستمرار إلى التفاوض، الأمر الذي تبدي موسكو له استعدادا، إلا أن الغرب، في الوقت نفسه، يتجاهل رفض كييف المستمر للتفاوض.
وكانت المتحدثة الرسمية باسم وزارة الخارجية الروسية، ماريا زاخاروفا، قد قالت في وقت سابق إن موسكو تشجع أي دول تقوم بمبادرات للسلام على أن تحاول إقناع الغرب الجماعي بالتوقف عن تزويد الجيش الأوكراني بالأسلحة. وقد أعلنت الصين والفاتيكان ومجموعة من الدول الإفريقية عن نواياهم في وضع خطط سلام لتسوية الأزمة الأوكرانية.
