أعلن الاتحاد الأوروبي، فرض عقوبات على عدة كيانات روسية بينها “مجموعة فاغنر”، قائلا إن هذه الإجراءات تأتي ردا على أنشطة الأطراف المستهدفة في أوكرانيا وسوريا وليبيا.
وذكر الاتحاد الأوروبي في جريدته الرسمية أنه قرر خلال اجتماع لوزراء خارجية الدول الأعضاء في التكتل ببروكسل فرض عقوبات على مجموعة “فاغنر” و3 شركات و8 شخصيات مرتبطة بها ردا على ما وصفه بانتهاكات حقوق الإنسان في كل من أوكرانيا وسوريا وليبيا والسودان وجمهورية إفريقيا الوسطى وموزمبيق.والشركات الـ3 هي “ييفرو بوليس” و”فيلادا” و”ميركوري” المختصة في قطاع الطاقة والتي شاركت، حسب الاتحاد الأوروبي، في أعمال استخراج النفط والغاز بسوريا. ومن بين الشخصيات التي تم فرض عقوبات عليها ضباط سابقون في الاستخبارات العسكرية الروسية، ومنهم مؤسس “مجموعة فاغنر” حسب ما قاله الاتحاد الأوروبي، دميتري أوتكين، الذي كان مسؤولا عن “تنسيق وتخطيط العمليات لنشر المرتزقة في أوكرانيا”.
وتتضمن العقوبات حظر دخول الشخصيات التي تم فرض عقوبات عليها إلى أراضي الاتحاد الأوروبي وتجميد أصول الأطراف المستهدفة بالإجراءات التقييدية في التكتل ومنع التعامل معها.وفي هذا السياق نقلت وكالة “فرانس برس” عن دبلوماسي أوروبي أن “فاغنر شركة عسكرية روسية خاصة تستخدم لزعزعة الأمن في أوروبا وفي بلدان أخرى مجاورة، خاصة في إفريقيا”.وسبق أن قال نائب وزير الخارجية الروسي، سيرغي ريابكوف، الأحد، إن النهج الازدرائي الذي يتبعه الاتحاد الأوروبي في تعامله مع قضايا الأمن، بما في ذلك اتباعه الإرشادات الأمريكية، مخيب للآمال.
