صرح رئيس الوزراء الروسي ميخائيل ميشوستين بأن الناتج المحلي الإجمالي لروسيا وصل في يونيو 2021 إلى مستواه ما قبل الجائحة، لكن تأثير الفيروس المستجد لا يزال قائما.
وقال ميشوستين، خلال منتدى مالي في موسكو: “تعافى اقتصادنا بالفعل في يونيو، حيث بلغ حجم الناتج المحلي الإجمالي مستويات ما قبل الوباء”.وأضاف: “بالطبع سيتعين علينا أن نأخذ في الاعتبار عامل فيروس كورونا، ومن السابق لأوانه الحديث عن الانتصار عليه، سنواصل الكفاح من أجل حياة مواطنينا وصحتهم”.
وتابع قائلا: “لكن حتى في مثل هذه الظروف يمكننا بالفعل المضي قدما وحل المهام الاستراتيجية واسعة النطاق”.وفي وقت سابق، أشار الرئيس الروسي فلاديمير بوتين إلى أن الاقتصاد الوطني في 2021 من المتوقع أن يسجل نموا بنحو 4%، وأكد على ضرورة استخدام مثل هذا الاتجاه الإيجابي في الاقتصاد لتحسين مستويات معيشة المواطنين الروس.
