وأضاف سانشيز في مقابلة مع التلفزيون الإسباني اليوم الخميس “مع الصور التي نشاهدها والأعداد المتزايدة من الأطفال الذين يموتون، لدي شك جدي في أن إسرائيل تلتزم بالقانون الدولي الإنساني”.
كذلك، دان سانشيز هجمات حركة حماس، مشددا على ضرورة أن “تفرج حماس عن جميع الرهائن دون شروط”.
وتابع “من الواضح أنه يتعين علينا أن نقترح حلا سياسيا لإنهاء هذه الأزمة، وهذا الحل يتضمن الاعتراف بالدولة الفلسطينية”، واعتبر أنه “من مصلحة أوروبا الاعتراف بدولة فلسطينية وأن تستقر المنطقة.. لا يمكن لأوروبا أن تسمح لنفسها بأن تكون لها جبهتا حرب مفتوحة: في أوكرانيا، وأخرى في الشرق الأوسط”.
وتعهد بأن تعمل حكومته في أوروبا عموما وإسبانيا خصوصا من أجل الاعتراف بالدولة الفلسطينية.
وكانت مصادر دبلوماسية قالت في 24 نوفمبر الجاري، إن الحكومة الإسبانية استدعت السفيرة الإسرائيلية في مدريد بعد اتهامات إسرائيلية لرئيس الوزراء الإسباني بيدرو سانشيز.
وتأتي هذه الخطوة ردا على استدعاء إسرائيل سفيري إسبانيا وبلجيكا على خلفية تصريحات رئيسي حكومتي البلدين حول النزاع بين إسرائيل والفلسطينيين، والتي اعتبرتها تل أبيب “تأييدا للإرهاب”.
