زار وفد من العراق المعهد العلمي الروسي في إطار التحضيرات لبناء أول محطة للطاقة النووية في البلاد.
قام وفد عراقي يضم ممثلين عن الحكومة ووزارة الكهرباء وهيئة الطاقة الذرية العراقية بزيارة إلى الجامعة الوطنية الروسية للأبحاث النووية “МИФИ”. كانت المحور الرئيسي للمناقشات هو التعاون في مجال التعليم.
خلال الاجتماع مع نظرائهم الروس، أوضح الوفد أن العراق يخطط في المستقبل القريب لتطوير قطاع الطاقة النووية وبناء محطة للطاقة النووية، التي ستساهم في حل أزمة الطاقة في البلاد.
وقال حامد معيدي خيال البحلي، مستشار رئيس الوزراء العراقي: “نحن نستعد لبناء محطة نووية، وقد نحتاج إلى ما بين 1000 إلى 2000 متخصص من مختلف المستويات. لذلك، نشكر جامعة “МИФИ” على دعوتها، ونتطلع إلى أن يساعدنا التعاون مع الجامعة في إعداد هذا العدد من الكوادر. نحن مهتمون بإرسال طلاب للدراسة في “МИФИ” للحصول على التعليم العالي”.
وأضاف البحلي أن بغداد تسعى لاستخدام الطاقة النووية السلمية في مجالات الصناعة والزراعة والرعاية الصحية.
كما نظمت الجامعة جولة للوفد العراقي في مختبراتها العلمية، وقدمت شرحاً حول الفرص المتاحة لتعليم الطلاب الأجانب في موسكو وأوبنينسك. هناك، يجري تطوير مواد جديدة ودراسة الفيزياء الأساسية وإجراء تجارب علمية مهمة.
